An Immersive Italian Experience of Cuisine and Art
“A dining experience amongst works of art, both authentic and inspiring.”
Much of the art and artifacts on the walls were acquired either from various Italian art fairs, particularly the Arezzo antique fair. It is the oldest and most prestigious antique fair in Italy.
Once monthly, the historical centre of this tuscan town, known for being the backstage of the movie “Life is beautiful”, is transformed into an open air market where dealers from the region, and the rest of Italy, set-up tables and tents to offer their treasures.
The Trattoria di Como places great emphasis on serving its uniquely prepared Northern and Central Italian style cuisine amongst works of art, both authentic and inspiring.
In addition, specific art dealers were used to procure special highlight pieces as described below:
Our Collection
Vatican Mosaic Studio
Vatican City
Take the time to enjoy the mosaic stone art piece in our trattoria’s main dining room, originally created in the Vatican’s famous Mosaic Studio, a hidden workshop producing papal artworks from the mid 16th century. This art piece anchors the room with both history and tradition and is considered an irreplaceable historical artifact weighing over 2000 pounds.
This piece was made in the Vatican, and you can often see similar work at Saint Peter’s Basilica.

Odoardo Vicinelli Letterfourie
Sacrifice to Minerva
This 18th-century painting depicts a sacrifice to Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, strategy, and the arts, symbolizing the offering of skill and devotion in pursuit of excellence and prosperity. Hung here, it reflects our belief that great hospitality—like great civilization—is built on craft, intelligence, and respect for tradition, ideals Minerva has embodied for centuries.
An art inspired journey to Arezzo.
We walked up and down the slanted cobblestones street in the search for art and artifacts, selecting pieces with patina, history and authenticity in the hope to create an appetizing atmosphere that transports the diner to Italy.
