You made it from Vancouver to Whistler. Now comes the easy part: deciding where to eat.

On September 12, 2026, cyclists will take on one of British Columbia’s most iconic rides, travelling 122 kilometres from Vancouver to Whistler as part of the RBC GranFondo Whistler.

After hours on the Sea to Sky Highway, a few serious climbs and a finish in Whistler Village, dinner is going to be high on the list.

Fortunately, you’re finishing in one of Canada’s best mountain towns for it.

Whether you’re looking for a proper celebratory Italian dinner, a burger with the crew or something quick and casual, here’s where to eat after the RBC GranFondo Whistler.

Where Does the RBC GranFondo Finish?

The RBC GranFondo starts in Vancouver and follows the Sea to Sky Highway north before finishing 122 kilometres later in Whistler.

Once you’ve crossed the finish line, the easiest move is to head back to your hotel, change out of the cycling gear and return to Whistler Village for the evening.

Most of the village is easily explored on foot, with restaurants, bars and patios all within a relatively compact area.

GranFondo is also a busy weekend in Whistler, so if you have somewhere particular in mind for Saturday night, booking your table before arriving is a good idea.

Italian Restaurant in Whistler Village: Trattoria Di Como

If there was ever an evening to order the pasta, this is probably it.

Located in Whistler Village, Trattoria Di Como brings the warmth, elegance and hospitality of Northern Italy to the mountains.

Inspired by Lake Como, the restaurant is designed around the kind of dinner that feels particularly appropriate after riding 122 kilometres: antipasti arriving at the table, handmade pasta, Italian favourites, good wine and nowhere else you particularly need to be.

It’s also an easy place to turn finishing the GranFondo into an occasion.

Come as a couple, meet friends who have been waiting for you in Whistler, or bring the riding group together around the table for a proper post-race dinner.

During the warmer months, Trattoria’s patio brings dinner outside, with views across Whistler Village and toward the surrounding mountains.

And with dinner beginning at 5 PM, the timing works particularly well for riders looking to head back to their hotel after finishing, change and return to the village for the evening.

Best for: Pasta, Italian wine, date night, groups and celebratory dinners.

Open: Daily from 5 PM

Make a Reservation – they’re recommended.

For Burgers and a Beer: Splitz Grill

If the plan is considerably more casual, Splitz Grill is a Whistler staple for burgers and an easy post-ride meal.

It’s the kind of place that works when everyone in the group is hungry, nobody particularly wants to dress up and the priority is simply finding something substantial to eat.

With burgers, fries and plenty of options for different tastes, it’s an easy choice for a relaxed meal after a long day on the bike.

Best for: Burgers, casual groups and a quick post-ride meal.

For Classic Whistler Après: Garibaldi Lift Co.

You don’t technically need skis to après.

Located at the base of Whistler Mountain, the Garibaldi Lift Co., better known as the GLC, is one of Whistler’s classic gathering spots.

If your GranFondo group is more interested in drinks, casual food and celebrating the finish than settling in for a long dinner, this is the kind of atmosphere you’re looking for.

The location also makes it easy for riders, friends and supporters to meet up in the village after the event.

Best for: Groups, drinks, casual food and post-ride celebrations.

For Something Quick: Peaked Pies

Sometimes the legs have had enough and dinner doesn’t need to become another event.

Peaked Pies is known for Australian-style meat pies and offers one of the more casual options around Whistler Village.

It’s quick, filling and easy, particularly if you’re planning a bigger celebration later in the weekend or simply want to get back to the hotel.

Best for: Quick meals, casual food and takeaway.

More Places to Eat in Whistler Village

One of the advantages of finishing the GranFondo in Whistler is that you don’t necessarily need much of a plan.

Whistler Village is pedestrian-friendly and packed with cafés, pubs, restaurants and patios.

If you’re not ready for a reservation immediately after finishing, head back to the hotel, take some time to recover and wander through the village later in the evening.

Just remember that GranFondo brings plenty of other hungry riders to town too.

Saturday night reservations are worth making ahead of time, particularly if you’re travelling with a group.

Staying in Whistler After the GranFondo?

Don’t rush back down the Sea to Sky.

September is a great time to spend a weekend in Whistler, particularly once the intensity of Saturday’s ride is behind you.

Sunday morning can move at a considerably slower pace.

Grab coffee in the village, find somewhere for brunch, walk around Lost Lake, explore the shops or simply find a patio and spend a few hours enjoying the mountains.

If friends or family are joining you for GranFondo weekend, staying Saturday night also turns the ride into a proper Whistler getaway rather than a very long day trip.

Make Dinner Part of the Finish

There are plenty of ways to celebrate completing the RBC GranFondo Whistler.

Maybe it’s a burger and a beer.

Maybe it’s something quick before heading back to the hotel.

Or maybe, after 122 kilometres on the bike, the occasion deserves a table, a bottle of Italian wine and a very large plate of pasta.

If that’s your kind of finish line, we’ll have a table waiting at Trattoria Di Como.

You handled the 122 kilometres. We’ll handle dinner.
